WindStream Communications Sr Analyst-Tax in Little Rock, Arkansas
The Senior Analyst-Tax will be responsible for advanced compliance of sales and use tax returns; perform tax return compliance review; departmental account reconciliations; perform tax research and analysis of tax laws; coordinate and assist with sales and use tax audits; provide tax support for special projects, system enhancements, and create process efficiencies.
Highly Desired Education and Experience: * Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required, * Advanced degree in accounting, finance, tax preferred. * State and local sales tax experience. * Ability to work independently and across different functions and levels within the organization with minimal oversight * Ability to research complex tax technical issues, respond, and interact with various tax authorities. * Experience with complex projects. * Complete systematic understanding and thorough knowledge of professional accounting and financial reporting systems. * Advanced spreadsheet skills. Additional Qualifications: * Knowledge of sales tax laws. * Exceptional financial and business acumen. * Ability to execute a project within the scope of overall strategies.
College degree and 3-5 years professional level experience with 1 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 7 years professional level related experience with 1 years supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
